I survived!!!

Yay, I survived my first day of school! There so much to worry about on the first day but my biggest worry is always getting my kido's home safely. At my school there are car riders, walkers, about 7 different daycares and then the busses. Today went smoothly and they all made it home safely! Thank you God!! I have a very cute class! They sure like talking, but I can handle, no problem!!!! I have 15 students and have been told one girl is moving in 2 weeks. I am sad to be loosing a girl since 75 % of my class are boys! Pictures of my classroom will come soon! I just pray my classroom will stay sweet!!!!

Come and Gone So Fast

It's such a bitter-sweet time. Seems just like yesterday, school was ending and I was preparing for the summer. Now I am preparing to head back to school on Monday. I am so grateful to have my summers off! It's a great little, and I mean little, break to have before a new group of kids come for a new school year. This summer flew by, due to many things planned. Here are a list of things I did:
  1. House sat for 3 weeks
  2. Attended Bryan's brothers wedding
  3. Jenny from Indiana came down for a short weekend
  4. Went to Indiana for the 4th of July
  5. Celebrated father's day
  6. Visited Jason and Dana, Bryan's brother, on the way to Indiana
  7. Went to Orange beach with Bryan's family
  8. Got the flu, that was a fun one!
  9. My family came to Florida for vacation
  10. Had lunch a few times with some friends
  11. Celebrated my 6 month anniversary
  12. Had dinner with the Murphy's, they were visiting from Indiana
  13. Cooked a lot of lunches for Bryan. I will miss having lunch with him!!
I'm sure there were other things, but this is all I could recall as I thought about my summer. It was a great one!! And I have a great feeling about this coming school year. I know it will great!!!!! :)
Here are a few pics taken throughout the summer

Thanks You!

The beautiful rainbow after the rain!
Bryan beating the rug with a 2x4.
My beautiful new hooks for the backpacks!!

Well, that time has come yet again and school will be starting soon! I must have lost my mind somewhere because this year I have decided to change my whole room around. It's taking forever because I'm changing all my learning centers as well. Pictures will come when my room is complete. Tonight Bryan helped me, and completed a few projects for me. I'm so excited b/c I now have hooks for the children to hang up their book bags. I was so tired of saying, "pick up your backpack." Now I won't have to say that or hop over bags!!! He screwed all the hooks into boards and then screwed the boards into the back of a bookcase I had. He also helped me clean my rugs. You should have seen all the sand that came out of that thing. It was enough to fill a sand box. When we went outside to clean the rug, I looked up to see a beautiful rainbow!! I had to snap a picture! So, my thanks goes out to Bryan for helping!!!

Just so you know

I really enjoy having a blog, b/c it's a place where I can write about whatever is on my mind. But sadly, at times I find myself questioning my topics and asking myself, "should I write about that." But I need to just let everyone know one thing. I have had a few post that just happen to be about politics b/c it was on my mind. But have you all know, I have NEVER claimed to know much about politics. Politics is way over my head! And I will NOT argue with anyone about political beliefs. I enjoy reading people's opinions, but I only seem to get replies when it's about politics. There won't many more political post unless it's just weighing on me....... For those who actually read this, thanks!!! :) More exciting post to come soon!

I Double Dog Dare You!!

While I was checking my e-mails, I saw one that I had skipped. I gotten one from my mother and father, so I decided to check it out. It was a 6 min video, talking mostly about this nation, our "Land of the Free". I double dog dare every single one of you to watch it. Sadly, I believe there were some harsh truths in it. Now, I already know some of you will not agree with it and will be offended. And for others, you heart will be sad, because of the truth. Either way, I think people should see what this man has to say!!

VaVaVoom

I had the coolest experience tonight while I was at Aveda getting my hair cut and colored. When my hair dresser was checking out my hair and color, she was like," Oh, I wonder if that guy John is still here. He's the head consultant for Aveda and travels all around the world to different salons. He is from Australia." She left for a few minutes and comes back with this tall, skinny guy, with crazy curly hair. He gets behind my chair, starts fingering through my hair, and starts talking color with my hair dresser. She was really surpised with what he recommended, b/c they never use that. Occasionally, he would stop by to check it out and of course stopped back by for the end result. He promised me that I won't fade and stay shiny all the time using this one line of color. Whatever, I don't talk that lingo, but it was still cool to have a serious professional, from Australia help create my beautiful color!

Personal Trainer

On Saturday, Erin and I joined a gym. With the purchase of my membership, I received 3 free sessions with a personal trainer. So my first session was this morning at 11. I was a little scared, b/c I didn't know what to expect. I went into a little office, where they asked what my goals were and then they did measurements. After that I was passed along to Brandon. He asked me what I wanted to work on. It was either going to be my stomach or arms, and since I have no muscles in my stomach, I chose the arms! First he took me to the bike. We did intervals of 30 sec. The first 30 sec I was normal speed, the next 30 sec I went as fast as I could. After 2 minutes, I was breaking out in a sweat! While doing this, I noticed a trash can in front of the bike and I immediately thought, is he going to make me throw up?! I later found out when I asked if it was normal to throw up, he told me "yeah it's normal, my last client did, that's why that trash can was there". At that moment, I told myself, "NO THROWING UP, YOU GOT THAT!" When I got up from that bike, I could barely feel my legs. Then we went over to the weights and we worked on my arms for the rest of the time. A couple of times, I didn't think I would make it, but I did. And I scheduled my next one for Wednesday morning! Erin has her first appointment on Thursday, I can't wait to see what she thinks. I honestly think having a personal trainer would be amazing!!! We'll see if I think that tomorrow when I can't walk!!

Sleepy, sleepy

This weekend was nothing but relaxing, so why am I SO sleepy! Friday night, Bryan printed off a list of restaurants we had never been to and had printed off their menu's. He is always taking care of me. He told me that he just wanted me to enjoy my evening. So I picked this little Italian restaurant in the downtown area. The food was SOO great! It all tasted like it was homemade! Plus we had plenty leftovers, so I would definitely give it five stars!... Then Saturday morning, me and Erin headed to the gym for a 40 min workout. After that, Bryan came into town to hang out for a few hours. That evening, me and Erin headed over to Charity's for a girls night. We ate pizza, got pedicures, played apples to apples, watched a movie and ate some more. It was a great time!...... Today was church in the a.m. After lunch at Panera, I felt drugged! Bryan and I laid down for a nap at 2, and when I finally opened my eyes, it was 5:50!!! I was like OMG!!! We both felt SO drugged! Something was in our food! Then we decided to go see "Public Enemies" at the movies. It was pretty good!...... So back to the beginning sentence, why am I so tired. Maybe I really was drugged, HAHA.. I just hope I will be able to sleep tonight!
