Another Christmas

Huber Girls
Me and my stocking

My family - Christmas Eve
I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone. Where is the time going? Christmas is my favorite time of the year! It full of family and traditions. I had a fabulous time with my family and once again I was on Santa's nice list:) It's been nice being home for a longer period of time. I have been able to hang out with my friends and just take it easy. This is just what the doctor ordered:) Coming back to Pensacola might be tough! But I know God has great things in store for 2009. I just can't wait!!

Bang.. Bang..

Don't mess with me!!

Today my father took me and my sister to the shooting range. We were very excited! I never knew how loud it was in there. As soon as we entered the room, me and my sister immeditaly jumped due to other people shooting. It takes a little practice. I now know why, in some movies, people just keep shooting and never hit the villian. You really have to be calm and focus, keeping your eye on the target. We practiced for 30min. I was a head shooter. I wasn't playing around. I almost always shot the head of the target. So don't mess with me! :)

Friends and Family = Good times

First of all, can I just say that it's freezing here. I thought it was cold in Florida but I was wrong. It was 15 Degree's today, and a coat doesn't even keep you warm. But insanely, I love it! it finally feels like Christmas. This morning I went to my parents church b/c it was my nieces Christmas program. Her and her friend Katie sang a Christmas song by themselves, it was sweet. Then to my surprise, my dad preached the message this morning. He did a great job. He talked about how pretty our picture is of Christ's birth and honestly it really wasn't that way. Our King, Our Savior, Our Redeemer, The Chosen One, was born in a manger. A dirty, stinky place, and that's where He was born. Think about our president. He is treated top notch, first class, millions dollars spent on him for the best everything. Now think about our personal savior and how he came and how we remember and treat that gift he gave us. I am guilty of pushing it aside and watering down the awesomeness of it. My prayer would be that this season, His awesomeness is real to me, and He is in the forefront on my mind and my heart!...... So all that came from my dad, and I thought it was great!! Then I took any amazing Sunday nap. After that I hung out with my very best friend. We always have a great time together! So, so far this vacation has been great!!!

No place like home!!

YAY!! I made it to Indiana safely. My flight left today at 4:30. I arrived in Memphis at 5:30 and left for Evansville around 7:40. I was home by 8:35. I must say it's so much nicer than driving 9 hours. It finally feels like Christmas. It's so cold here and all the lights everywhere and oh yes, an actually Christmas tree. I am a little bitter about not having one this year in Pensacola, can you tell? As soon as I walked into my parents house, I twirled, and said "There's No Place Like Home", ain't that the truth. My mom made me some hot chocolate and we all watch Kirk Cameron. I can't wait to go to sleep in my old room and just sleep in as late as I want!! I am thrilled!!!

Spirit of Christmas

Today was a huge day at our church. It was our annual Spirit of Christmas service. This year we had Kirk Cameron as our guest speaker. I volunteered to work with the 3's and 4's. Before church started, Kirk came down to the nursery area, to meet the workers. We got our picture with him, you will see it soon. He had his son Jack with him, so while he was chatting with teachers, I chit chatted with him. I heard that the service went very well. I will get a DVD of it next weekend. There were over 4000 people. It was PACKED. I even heard that some people had to leave. Overall it was crazy, but went well. I just can't wait to watch it!!

I am Proud!

So I must say, I am pretty proud of myself. This morning was the Jingle Bell Run, which was a 5K. Students and teachers from my school were participating, so I decided to do it too. Well, I haven't run in over a month, so I decided from the beginning, that I would just walk it. Well when the race began, I just happen to be standing with the runners, so when they took off running, I took off to. I completed my first mile in 12 min. I also found my student, so we ran the rest of the race together. During our second and third mile we walked and ran some, but I was pretty dang proud. Now I know most people who run, only take around 25ish minutes and my time was much higher, but I am still proud! hopefully my next one I will be able to run the whole thing!!!!
Then tonight, I was asked walk with our church float in the parade. I had never been in one, so it sounded fun. Well we were the 74 float, so it literally took like an hour for us to start, that was not fun.. But once we started, it was fun. We threw out candy, beads, and cards for our church service tomorrow. I don't think I have ever said Merry Christmas so many times, but it was fun! Then to end the night, Me, Charity and Peter went to eat at Jerry's. It was yummy!

BORING

I am so bored!!!! Last night was very relaxing, with no plans. I even able to go to bed early! But now I have nothing to do tonight, so I'm getting bored. I was planning on working on the Home Makeover House, but we're not working tonight, therefore I have nothing to do. I even texted a few people but nothing. No one has texted me back. Ahhhhhhh, I'm goin crazy. So I thought I would complain to whoever reads this. HAHA This weekend we are working on the house. Then next weekend I go home for Christmas. Can't believe it's already time for that!

The Best Day!!!

"ME" time at the beach
Tori Larson, born today!

She looks like her sister!

Please don't bother, she says!!

The Larson family,just keeps growing
Today was the perfect day to take a personal day off. I did it b/c of my birthday. I decided that I deserved a day off, and little did I know my best friend, Brie would have her baby today. I slept in then went out to the beach for a little "me" time. I journal, did my devotion, prayed, and listened to music. It was so relaxing. I had the whole beach to myself. Then I came home and started and finished my Christmas cards. Then Tori was born at 11:15. She was 6lb, 7oz. It about killed me to wait till 5, to go visit. I hung out at the hospital from 5-7:30. Holding a baby is so contagious. I want one!! Just gotta wait for the right guy, maybe one day! But I am so happy for the Larson's. She is adorable!! It was the best day!!

My Friends

My awesome cake!

She was to busy coloring
I am now 27 years old, WOW. I can't believe I have lived for 26 years. I must say my 26 years on this earth has been great blessed and I am excited to see what is in store for me this coming year. My Saturday started off by getting together with some friends at church and praying. Peter dared us to come, b/c he has been doing this for a few weeks now. So I decided to start my Saturday off in prayer. It was awesome! When we got done, I had two missed phone calls from my mom and grandma. They both sang to me:) Then a group of us did some painting for the Home Extreme Makeover. Next I headed Brie and Kevin's house to watch some of the Bama/Gator Game. About an hour later, I started getting ready for my night. A group of us met at 6, to eat a Fuji. After dinner we headed back to the house for cake and fellowship. It was such a great time. I truely felt LOVED!!! Overall it was an amazing birthday. I couldn't ask for more!!!!

Sideline Christians

I have totally found my anthem song for my life. It's from the sound track from the movie Fire Proof. It is called "While I'm Waiting" Here are the words:
I’m waiting I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I’m waitingI will serve You
While I’m waitingI will worship
While I’m waitingI will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait I’m waiting I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it’s not easy, no But faithfully, I will wait Yes, I will wait
And I will move ahead, bold and confident Taking every step in obedience
While I’m waitingI will serve You

It's a beautiful song! I know that in life, we are all waiting on something from God and I how many times have we said, I will just sit on the side and wait. But that's not what God wants. He wants us to continue to seek Him and keep on running the race. And while we do that, God will continue to bless us because he sees we are faithful! I hope this is encouraging to you as it was me!
