"A Just Man"

With Christmas quickly approaching, I decided to open my Bible and read the "Christmas Story." It's SO easy to forget what this season is truly about. I get caught up in decorating and buying gifts for everyone, but that's not it. That's not what this season is meant to be at all. While I was reading and reminding myself of the reason for the season, this phrase stuck out to me. Matthew 1:19, "Then Joseph her husband, being a just man......." Being a just man, got me thinking. How many man out there today can be truly called a "JUST" man. At this time, Joseph had found out she was pregnant, and he sure wasn't the father. But because he was that "JUST" man, he kept her safe from others . Now we don't know what he thought before the angel of the Lord appeared but it speaks volumes to me that he was a man who took care of his women, although it did not make sense. Thanks to him, Mary was kept safe and our Savior was born.
I sure am grateful for the just man that God has given me. I have heard horror story after horror story of men who were not just and torn their families apart all because of selfishness. But b/c I know my Savior and HE knows me, He gave me the desires of my heart. As we celebrate this season of Jesus birth, remember to give God praises for all the just men in your life!

Seriously?! It's Over???

I can't believe that I am sitting in our new apartment reflecting on our honeymoon and wedding. The past few weeks have all flew by, almost as if I blinked and it was all over. Two weeks prior to our wedding, Bryan's memaw past away. It was not expected and tough on the family. Then school came to an end and we finished moving me into our apartment. Then my family all arrived. I enjoyed having them here, they were a huge help! The wedding day came quickly. I really wasn't nervous. I was more so excited!!! We both feel as if the wedding was beautiful. There wasn't much we would change. Just a few things here or there. I would have slowed down time. I feel like that day was about 10 minutes long and then it was over. The reception was beautiful, thanks to our families for their help. It was so nice to be able to rely on Bryan during this whole time of planning. My sisters and mother did as much as they could back in Indiana. Anything else was left to me. Bryan was my right hand man. If anything became to much to bare, he took it completely and I never had to worry about it again. Such a great feeling, I might add. After we left the wedding, it was the best feeling to know I was finally married to my best friend. I know that he loves me more than anything in life and tells me that daily. After the wedding, we went to Disney World. We had such a wonderful time. Call me selfish, but I love spending time with just him. I laughed so much during that week. It felt great to not have a worry in the world!
Our Disney Schedule-
Sunday night - Arrived, walked around and checked out the place
Monday - Magic Kingdom all day, stayed for light parade and fire works
Tuesday - Animal Kingdom in the a.m / Downtown Disney for the afternoon. We had tickets to La Numba, Cirque De Soleil. It was absolutely amazing!!! My favorite part of the trip!!!!
Wednesday - MGM Studios
Thursday - Epcot and Dinner Show
Friday - Finished Epcot, then took it easy, played some golf and got in the hot tub

It was a WONDERFUL trip! Now he's back to work and I am enjoying summer. I have a new book that I am enjoying. But I must say, my favorite part of the day is when he gets off work!!!

Tick Tock

Time is flying by! Can't you hear it, tick, tock!! In less that one month I will be married!! All I keep thinking about is everything that has to get done in that time period. In two weeks I move into our apartment. He will join me once we are married! The school year will be ending in a few weeks, and I have SO many deadlines for work! This Thursday I pick my dress up. Friday I have a field trip, then leave asap at 2, to get my hair done for my bridal portraits. Saturday morning we meet at the reception place for our final walk through. Then, next Monday I got called to Jury Duty. Like I have time for that crud!!!!...... But I must say I am enjoying myself!! Yesterday we went to Destin to shopping at Old Time Pottery. There we bought things to decorate our tables at the reception. But, then we went shopping for ourselves. It was a very bad idea!! :) We bought each other wedding gifts!!! I found the matching Roxy suitcase that went with my bag, and he found an awesome traveling bag. Since I knew that he doesn't have any luggage, I said "Why don't we just buy each other a piece. We will need it for Disney World." So we did!!! And I love it!!!!! I have two cute matching ROXY luggage pieces!! ........ Before I know it, I will be Mrs. McCurdy!!! I can't wait!!!!!! I must just survive and enjoy the next few weeks!!!!
Bryan's new bag! It comes apart and is actually two bags.
My matching pieces!!!

Memories to last a lifetime

This is our "Kiss the Man" game! It was fun, plus PG rated, my type of game!!

This past weekend was my wedding bash weekend in Panama City. I was so blessed to have my sisters, friend, and cousin come down from Indiana, plus my pensacola gals!! Friday night we ate at Pineapple Willy's. After dinner, we had my shower. They had me blushing before I even opened any gifts. But I got some really cute things!!! Saturday we headed to the Waffle House for breakfast. Then back to the condo for pool time. I was so glad to see the sun for just a few hours!! Then for dinner, we headed to the Boatyard. After that, we went go carting and to a haunted house!! Only bad thing was that Jenny, my Indiana friend, injured her foot in the haunted house. Turns out she fractured her 4th toe bone!! :( I felt really bad!!! But over all we had a wonderful time!!! ...... Oh yeah, can't forget it was biker weekend in Panama City. Meaning there were 100000 of bikes!! The comments I heard from bikers were pretty funny! ....... I will always remember this weekend!!!! There were many memories made to last a lifetime!!!

Wedding Shower at Work

There just happens to be 3 of us teachers getting married this summer, so they threw a shower for all three of us. Here are a few pictures from the day.
